Can I appoint replacing trustees for my family trust in my will?

It depends on the provisions of the trust deed. The trust deed will often stipulate that the founder can in his will nominate a replacing trustee for himself. If there is not such a clause in the trust deed such a nomination in a will will not be legally enforceable. The family and trustees might, however, still decide to honour the wishes.
