1. Van Velden – Duffey is a full-service law firm that offers a comprehensive range of legal services to both businesses and private individuals. Services include, but are not limited to: consultations with clients; providing legal opinions and advice; the drafting and review of legal documents; estate planning and administration; conveyancing; debt collection; the drafting of pleadings; and representing clients in matters relating to labour disputes, general civil disputes, family disputes and divorce, and criminal matters.
  2. Van Velden – Duffey shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (the POPI Act). In this respect, personal information shall only be processed by Van Velden – Duffey as outlined in its privacy policy manual, which manual has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of the POPI Act. A copy of the manual is available upon request.
  3. Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard or American Express Cards or by bank transfer into the Van Velden – Duffey bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
  4. Card transactions will be acquired via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. DPO PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
  5. Customer details will be stored by Van Velden – Duffey separately from the card details which are entered by the client on DPO PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on DPO PayGate refer to paygate.co.za.
  6. The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Accordingly, the transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
  7. Van Velden – Duffey takes sole responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction, including the sale of services on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and service delivery.
  8. This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Van Velden – Duffey chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature its company address, as listed in clause 13.
  9. Van Velden – Duffey may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
