Shyrl Matlou is a Candidate Attorney in the Third-Party Department. She joined Van Velden Duffey Inc after completing her Paralegal qualification and worked as a secretary in the very same Third-Party Department while completing her LLB degree with the University of South Africa.

Before joining Van Velden Duffey Inc, she gained diverse legal exposure as a Paralegal, where she handled matters involving deceased estates and debt collection. Having worked in the legal field from the outset of her career, she has built a strong professional foundation and developed a practical understanding of legal procedures. Also, she has a hands-on experience in litigation, case management, and client liaison.

She is committed to excellence in the execution of her tasks. She is also dedicated to securing optimal results for the clients and finds great professional fulfilment in safeguarding their legal interests.

Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and embracing her role as a new mother.
