Otto was raised in Potchefstroom and matriculated from Hoërskool Potchefstroom Gimnasium.  He attended the North-West University in Potchefstroom where he obtained his BA Law and LLB degrees. He is currently busy with his LLM in International Aspects of law.

During his studies he was actively involved in various student leadership structures to ensure the actualisation of student life. Otto joined Van Velden-Duffey Inc. as a candidate attorney in 2024 and is currently serving his articles in the third-party department.

Otto is an avid sportsman and enjoys rugby and golf.

Otto has a passion for law, is eager to learn, enjoys working with people and looks forward to gaining experience in the various legal disciplines while serving as a candidate attorney at Van Velden-Duffey.
