Moses joined Van Velden – Duffey Inc in 2021 as a candidate attorney in our third-party department.

Moses studied at the University of Johannesburg where he successfully completed his LLB degree in 2017. He is currently working towards attaining a master’s degree in corporate law. His master’s dissertation focusses on insolvency law, aptly titled “A critical discussion of the impact of the moratorium in business rescue as envisaged in the Murray v First Rand Bank LTD”.

Moses’s hard work and dedication paid off when he was invited to join the Golden Key International Honour Society and was awarded the book prize for the Introduction to Legal Studies module. During the course of his studies, he was a tutor for three years in the Business Law and Applied Communications department.

Moses did not only work hard during his studies, but also dedicated his time to community involvement. He was selected to be part of the second-year Constitutional Care Committee which is a society at the University of Johannesburg dealing with the care of orphaned children at different facilities throughout South Africa.

In his free time Moses enjoys making music on a professional level and following recent international news. He lives by the notion “There is no success that beats achieving goals through trial and error’’.
