Gofaona joined the Van Velden-Duffey Inc. team in October 2022 as a candidate attorney and is currently serving her articles in the criminal and civil litigation department. She was born and raised in Rustenburg, Northwest, where she completed her high school education at HTS in 2015.

After being admitted to the University of the Free State, Gofaona earned her LLB degree in 2020. While studying, she participated in various committees and was selected as a cohort member for the Global Leadership Summit, where she demonstrated her critical thinking skills and enthusiasm as a representative of the university and South Africa. Gofaona would go on to attended law school with LEAD in Pretoria, where she completed her Practical Legal Training in 2021.

Gofaona is passionate about people and social justice and chose a career in law to empower and liberate individuals through its use.
