Luthando is originally from Upington, where he was born and raised. He completed his matric at Carlton Van Heerden High School before pursuing his LLB at North-West University.
While at NWU, Luthando distinguished himself by winning the 2021 NWU Juta Mock Trials. He also held various leadership roles, serving as Vice-Chairperson of the NWU Black Lawyers Student Association and as a member of the Student Legal Aid Executive Team.
Beyond academics, Luthando is a passionate athlete excelling in both basketball and soccer.
In 2025, Luthando began his legal career at Van Velden Duffey Inc, where he is currently serving his articles in the Third-Party Department. He is deeply committed to the law and driven by a strong belief in social justice and using his profession to make a positive impact on society.
